The purpose of Signs of Life Winter Retreat is to encourage today’s youth to grow in their love for Jesus, to hold fast to God’s Word, to serve in their local churches, and to proclaim the Gospel to all peoples. With an aim to fulfill this purpose, we join together every winter for three days of Bible saturated teaching, singing, workshops, games and fellowship. Together with challenging daily devotionals, all teachings and activities work together to emphasize a singular teaching point. We’re humbled at how God has graciously used this short time each year to challenge, refresh, and equip His people.
This year’s theme is “Living Life on Mission.” Not all of us will travel to a foreign country to testify to our faith in Jesus Christ or live in a hostile remote region. Not all of us are called to preach the Gospel in exotic places under terrible conditions, or just like in Ukraine, to testify to Jesus even when bullets are flying and missiles are falling. But all who believe in Jesus Christ are called to live life on mission. This was true in the early church when ordinary people from different countries and life experiences became one family, one heart, striving side by side for the sake of the Gospel. We will center our theme this winter around Philippians 1:27, that we would truly live as citizens of heaven, striving together to make Christ known. This means for all who are saved, each of us has a part to play in God’s mission to save people by His grace and to tell of His Son Jesus to all until the whole world hears. Join us this year as we encourage each person to live life on mission for the sake of Jesus and His Gospel, hear stories from faithful believers overseas, with games centered on “mission impossible”, have great workshops and also times of worship centered in God’s Word.
One of the high points of this incredible weekend is the four main worship sessions that include singing, special music, preaching and testimonies. It is during these sessions that we challenge all attending to grow in their love for Christ and ever increasing in obedience to God’s Word. The culmination of the weekend is a Youth Led Service where the youth will be given an opportunity to put into practice what they learned in their workshop during a special time of worship. The four main sessions and the youth led service will be livestreamed to this website and on Facebook.
It’s our firm belief that all Christians – both young and old – should be actively involved in the work of ministry. For this reason, we offer a variety of workshops to give students an opportunity to develop the gifts that God has given them and to perhaps explore new avenues of ministry. Workshops include: Apologetics, Bible Teaching, Biblical Counseling, Drama, Music, Preaching, and Missions.
Youth and Adults ($100) – This covers all meals, lodging, and activities for the weekend. Private rooms are available for adults upon request at an additional cost (contact us for details).

Deposits – Leaders, please send a $100 deposit for your group before January 1, 2023 (with final funds and list of attendees no later than January 21st).
